The Hypocrites’ “Our Town” at Chopin Theatre
Under the deft and inspired charge of director David Cromer, The Hypocrites’ gorgeous and heart-wrenching production last spring (which packed audiences in night after night, and prompted a remount this fall) was not to be missed. Urgently visceral and endlessly compelling, full of pitch-perfect performances, Cromer and crew’s production can hardly be labeled a mere revival—it was, truly, a resurrection.
