It’s rare that a store completely takes our breath away, but Swaby in Wicker Park managed to do just that. From the second we walked in, we couldn’t stop drooling over the Canadian designer’s ruffled tops and pleat-pocket skirts, never mind the eye-poppingly beautiful evening gowns. Our heart skipped a beat when we discovered the bags—with fringe and bow workmanship rivaling that of fave brand, Kooba. We were ready to run off with the entire collection, tossing our current wardrobe aside in favor of owner and designer Shernett Swaby’s stunning styles. Welcome to America, Shernett—we hope you’re here to stay.
