The eighty-seat outdoor patio at Homestead overlooks Chicago Avenue and seats diners in the midst of the organic garden, where much of the produce for the restaurant is grown. It’s a little tricky to find, but step into Roots, ask for Homestead and you’ll be led upstairs for a more refined dining experience featuring Chris Curren’s food, Benjamin Schiller’s cocktails and desserts by Chris Teixeira. Even now that it’s too cold to dine al fresco, you can still snuggle under blankets outside for a post-dinner hot cocktail around the fireplace.
