Blommer Chocolate Company
A city is a place of sensations (some less sensational than others, as we well know). Sound, vision, touch: but how often outside of a pissed-in alley or a badly ventilated restaurant do we savor the city for its stink? Creeping up on little cocoa feet is the Blommer Chocolate cloud, an emanation of pure cocoa and fine sugar that will invisibly announce itself at the most unpredictable times across downtown, or more likely, River North and just west. It’s particularly piquant on a frigid day when the bitter wind is assaulting the ice in your eyes and suddenly, you find yourself as one with the universe of comfort, embraced by that which you cannot see but only adore.
