The Governor’s Mansion
Governors never seem to want to live there much anymore anyway, and who can blame them? Springfield vs. Chicago? But it’s a beautiful home in the heart of our capital, near several major Lincoln historic sites. What a fine luxury hotel or B&B it would make. And given the tendency of Illinois governors to leave office and check into extended stays in prison, just imagine the mystique of sleeping in, say, the private office or the den, where you might be able to imagine hiding places for all the graft.
Audience Comments: “Tollways, oops, they’re already privatized to the suburban Republican machine.”
