Take one old truck. Cover every inch with bright, graphic art. Then invite some friends, pull open the hatch and throw yourselves a party. That’s how HotBox, Chicago’s mobile gallery, made this summer the summer of art-to-go, stealthily making their way to tweeted locations to showcase work by Veggiesomething, The Blank Co., The Grocer and a mess of other remarkable talents primarily known for their work on the street. Will the HotBox be back next summer? You’ll have to follow their Twitter to find out.
