Continuing to push the envelope of Chicago’s alternative exhibition spaces—move over garages, purses and graveyards—Trunk Show is a “mobile exhibition space” on the bumper of the 1999 Ford Taurus owned by artists/curators/grad students Jesse Malmed and Raven Falquez Munsell. And you guessed it, each month an artist is commissioned to design a bumper sticker to go on display. The inaugural exhibition, which opened last month, featured multimedia artist Eric Fleischauer (whose sticker read “PUNK IS DAD”); currently on view is a commission by photographer and sculptor Assaf Evron. They also sell stickers out of the car at “collector-friendly prices” and by subscription. Check the twitter feed for locations.
