When dessert arrives, you frequently hear (at least from your more trite servers), “we’re saving the best for last.” We prefer Elvis’ dining watchword: “just give me the good stuff first.” Charcuterie is usually our favorite part of the meal, and not just because we’re hungriest at the start but because a charcuterie starter offers such a marvelous range of outstanding tastes to perk the palate for dinner. Tete Charcuterie—well, you had us at “charcuterie.” The menu features some salads and veg-centric snacks, but this place is really all about the well-curated collection of meat: terrines, pates, and sausages, many made at nearby West Loop Salumi.
