The Northeast Corner of Division and Damen

The forty-year-old mom-and-pop Shell station at the intersection of Wicker Park and Ukrainian Village is no more after a $16,000-a-month rent increase from $9,000. The real estate developers who bought the property in 2012 have ambitious plans for the large corner space that had been occupied by a gorgeously detailed, four-story vintage apartment building until the late 1960s. How about four or five stories of blankly modern apartments?
